I would do anything to take her soft looking lips with mine. I don’t want to come off stronger

and she ends up feeling rushed into it. She winks and blushes at me, ah hell, screw it. I lean my head down slowly to gauge her reaction and she doesn’t pull back, giving me the go to continue. When

my lips touch hers she moans softly. I’m not sure how it’s supposed to feel when you find your mate, but I thought it would be a little more than just a small spark. Maybe it’s because were so young?

She breaks the kiss which leaves me in a daze as to what just happened, she smirks and jumps away

from me. We end up swimming for a little while longer, laughing and chasing each other around the

  pool.

“Elizabeth, you ready to head inside and watch a movie now, or would you like to swim a bit

more?” She floats on top of the water like she doesn’t have a care in the world. She tilts her head

out of the water, and her feet touch the bottom of the swallow end of the pool.

“Oh sorry, did you say something?” she asks as she moves through the water closer to me.

“Would you like to continue swimming or do you want to get dried off and watch a movie in

  my room?”

“I think we should watch a movie now,” she gives me a smile, and we get out of the pool; I

reach in the little cupboard beside the lawn chairs, and grab a towel for her and one for myself.

“Ummm, is there somewhere, where I can get changed?” she asks as she wraps the towel

around her. Nodding, I point to the changing booth my parents put up for when we have parties at

the house. My mother didn’t like having a whole bunch of soaking wet teens in the house.

A few moments later she comes out of the booth dried and changed her wet clothes in

hand. Dear God, she’s naked under her shorts and shirt. I try hard not to stare at her breasts, but it’s hard not to look with her hard nipples pointing underneath her shirt. I don’t want to seem like a

  pervert eyeing her.

We head inside; I hear the front door open followed by my parents’ voices. They make their

way towards to the kitchen where we are. They walk in talking about something I don’t know exactly

what but they stop when they see us both standing there.

“Oh did you two have a nice swim?” my mother asks as she takes in Elizabeth’s wet hair.

Elizabeth gives my mother a bright smile, she nods.

“The water felt amazing, Mrs. Jackson.” She says to my mother, my mother shakes her head

  smiling.

“Elizabeth, please call me Mary,” my mother says, she moves around in the kitchen, walking

over to the fridge she looks inside and then back to us.

“Elizabeth, are you staying for supper dear?”

I look down at Elizabeth and she smiles up at me, I shrug my shoulders, it’s up to her if she

wants to stay here for supper, with my mother who is probably going to be shooting a whole bunch

of questions left and right. My mother is probably already planning my mating in her head this very

  second.

“I would love to stay for supper. I just have to call my parents and let them know I won’t be

home for supper.” She mentions as she looks up at me.

I tell my parents were heading upstairs to watch a movie before supper; they both nod, my

father grabs some streaks out for supper.

“Streaks good with you Elizabeth?” my father asks just before we make it out of the kitchen.

“Streaks will be great, thank you.”

Elizabeth puts her hands to her side, and then turns back towards the kitchen, she stands at

the door, clearing her throat softly, she smiles shyly at my father, “Alpha Darren, I would like to ask for your permission for my friend to come and stay with us for a month. She’s human but she knows

about me being a shifter. She wouldn’t tell a soul”

My father nods, “Sure, she’s more than welcome to come and visit,”

  “Thank you, Alpha.”

Elizabeth grabs her phone out of her bag, asking me to give her a minute to text her parents.

After she finishes texting them we head upstairs to my room. We start watching a movie; I don’t

really get a chance to pay attention to it because she leans into me and she rests her head on my

shoulder. I breathe in her scent, she could be a possible mate for Malakai and me, but I’m not

hundred percent sure, something doesn’t feel right. I shake my head, clearing my thoughts.

“Everything okay?” she asks looking up at me through her lashes. I do the only thing I can

think of, I smile at her. How can I tell her I’m not sure about mating, that something feels off about this whole thing? I need to change this conversation quick.

“It’s going to be getting dark soon. What do you think about going for a run in the woods?”

Her eyes light up, loving the idea of letting her wolf out to run. She nods her head fast as she

hops off of my bed, all pumped up, I guess she’s ready to run. I chuckle shaking my head.

I’ve been running for what seems like hours, hiding from Ryan and his wolf. It seems that

Aura and Malakai get along, well enough. I wouldn’t say were true mates or anything. But it’s a good sign I guess that they didn’t tear each other apart when we shifted. I don’t feel hundred percent

connected to Ryan as a mate, though. I’m not sure what it is but it doesn’t seem like it was meant to be, it feels more like a brotherly thing, especially now after we shifted, our wolves didn’t really

connect, not as mates or even lovers. It’s hard to describe it; it’s a brotherly thing, which is kind of weird.

I’m snapped out of my thoughts when I hear something move behind me. I turn my head

and sniff the air, trying to see if it’s Ryan coming towards me, but that’s not his scent. It’s something else; it’s sweet, like chocolate and something else that I can’t quite put my tongue on it. The scent is getting stronger now, it’s chocolate for sure and blood? The smell is alluring, making my wolf perk

up, ears high as she lightly growls, while enjoying the scent.

Just then a handsome man jumps down out of the trees, just a few feet from me. His eyes

shining brightly in the moonlight, my wolf tells me to run to him but I’m frozen in spot. This person standing there, staring at me isn’t a wolf. His scent isn’t of any wolf I’ve ever smelled before. He slowly makes his way towards me, he sniffs the air groaning lightly he opens his mouth and I see

fangs descending. I start to panic while my wolf whines for me to calm down. I growl, he’s a vampire.

Where’s Ryan? Should I howl to let him know where I am, to help me from getting butchered from

  this vampire?

The vampires’ eyes widen, “Please don’t fear me my little gem. I could never hurt you. Can

you shift? I’ll give you my jacket to cover yourself.” He asks, he slowly takes his jacket off showing me, he’s not a threat. He takes a step closer to me and I growl, he stops and throws the jacket near my paws. He nods at me and turns around, giving me privacy. I’m not sure if it’s wise to shift into my human form if I shift it would be easier for him to take care of me, but he mentioned that he could

never hurt me. I can’t explain it but it seems like his words are sincere.

I shift back, grabbing the jacket in front of me, groaning as I stand up. I clear my throat, “You

can turn around now,” my voice gentle but firm. I don’t want to show any weakness. He turns and

smiles as he sees the jacket wrapped around me tightly, makin
g sure none of my naked skin shows.

“What’s your name, little gem?” he asks, taking a step closer.

“My names Elizabeth and you are?”

“Samuel. I followed your scent through the woods. You little gem are my soul-mate,” he says

his voice full of joy. My eyes widen as I take a step back, my wolf snarling at my action. It can’t be.

How can a vampire be my mate? I feel something towards him, but isn’t that what all woman feel

when they see a vampire? It’s their way of seducing women, their aroma. He comes up to me with

speed I’ve never seen before; he grabs my hand bringing it to his lips, placing a small kiss on the back of my hand. I gasp feeling electric shocks from his touch. He smiles up at me from the little kiss.

“What you just felt, shows that we’re mates,” the wind picks up a bit and his scent goes

straight up my nose, taking a deep breath in, my wolf jumping and nipping inside my head as she

  says one word, ‘mate’.

He turns around and hisses lightly as his eyes go feral, he turns back to face me.

“Someone’s coming, another wolf,” he sniffs the air a little more, hissing.

“A male wolf,” he mentions looking down at me.

“It’s probably Ryan, coming to find me.”

Samuel’s eyes grow dark and he hisses loudly, “Do I have to hurt this wolf? Does he think

you’re his?” he asks with his fists clenched at his side.

“No, my wolf won’t let me mate with another, now that we’ve found you,” I whisper softly

trying to reassure him. He places a kiss on my forehead.

“I must go now, but I will find you soon.” He promises.

I walk behind a tree nearby and take the jacket off, throwing it out to him; he catches it

giving me a grin and takes off. Ryan shows up just a second later, looking around sniffing the air

around him, growling. He shifts and covers himself from me.

“Who was here? I smell a scent I’m not familiar with,” he looks around again, trying to figure

out who was here seconds before.

I’m still behind the tree hiding my naked self from him. I can’t let him know that there was a

Samuel a vampire here, he would tell his father, and then they would hunt him down and kill him.

Just thinking about it makes my wolf whine out in pain, he’s our mate. I can’t let anyone know he’s

here till I know for sure it’s safe, from all the shifters who would probably want to tear him apart.

“No one was here. It must have been before I got here because I didn’t see anyone,” I say

lying to him. I hope he doesn’t smell the lie coming from my lips. He nods his head, seems like he

  believes me.

“We should head back now; we’ve been out here long enough.” He mentions, looking

around the dark woods, he turns around and shifts, waiting for me to follow, my body shifts

effortlessly, and we take off into a full run towards his house.

  Chapter 5

I can’t believe it; I’ve finally found my soul-mate, and damn is she beautiful; her wolf is

amazing pure white. The scent of my mate, one word to describe it, incredible, she’s everything I

thought she would be and more, so much more. The only thing that’s bothering me is that she’s a

wolf and I know for a fact the vampire coven I’m from, might have a thing or two to say about all

that and of course her pack as well. Never in a million years would I of thought my mate would be a

wolf. When I was following the sweet scent of hers, I thought for sure that she was human or maybe

even vampire but the closer I got, I was a little-shocked finding out she’s neither.

But after seeing her, I wouldn’t change a thing about her. She’s meant to be mine and I will

cherish her for eternity, she’ll be my queen, my mate, my lover. I can’t wait to see her again. I will follow her in the shadows to find out where she lives. I know it sounds stalker-ish but hey, once

you’ve lived as long as I have, you need a little humor in your life to keep yourself sane. I can’t wait to have my little gem in my arms. That wolf that came up after I left better not think about making a move on her, he would be one stupid wolf, if he dares try.

I’ve been with Kelly all afternoon, going over our mating ceremony, the food, the music.

Man, I’m exhausted; planning a ceremony is a lot more work than I thought it would be. I thought

the women planned it, and the men just sit back and agree with everything, but Kelly wants my

input on everything. God, I got a headache.

My feet hitting my parents’ front steps one at a time, opening the door, I’m frozen still as an

aroma wafts around me. Honey and strawberries, the sweet scent hitting me in full force, my

nostrils flaring, I follow the scent down the hall. The lovely scent stops just in front of my brothers’

  door.

“Mate,” a growl escapes my throat, opening the door to my brothers’ room, expecting to

find my mate in there. But when I get the door open there’s no one inside, my wolf is going haywire.

Where is she? The scent is strong as if she was just here. A throat clears behind me, spinning around I see my brother standing there with his head cocked to the side looking at me puzzled.

“What the…” I grab a hold of him, pinning him to the wall. He smells of my mate and

another scent I’m unsure of. Inhaling the scent again, growling loudly. My brothers’ eyes widen in

fear as he holds onto my arm, tapping my arm for me to loosen my hold. I know the other scent; it’s

the scent of a vampire. I’ve come across a scent like that before when I was in the city. “Where’s my mate, Ryan? She was here and now she’s gone,” I hiss through clenched teeth, my eyes turning wolf

  as I growl.

“Why were you with a vampire?” My brothers’ eyes pop out of his head as he tries to speak

but all I’m getting is a gurgle, releasing my grip around his neck, placing my hand on his chest holding him back instead. He takes a few deep breaths in before he speaks.

Just as he’s about to tell me what the hell is going on, my father comes down the hallway.

He pulls me off of Ryan and growls at us both. Ryan’s head bows down but as for me, I’m next in

line, it will take a lot more than that to have me bow to him.

“What the hell is going on here? Ryan?” he looks at my brother, he keeps his head down as

my father speaks. My father shakes his head, turning to me next as he asks the same thing.

“I got home just a few minutes ago and I smelt something different. So I followed the scent

all the way to Ryan’s room and my wolf went haywire because it’s my mate’s scent. And when I saw

Ryan I snapped, he smells of my mate and he smells like he’s been around a vampire.” I shoot out as

I look at Ryan to see if he will open his mouth to speak, I’m surprised that he does.

“Caleb, father. I was with Elizabeth. If she is your mate then fine, I won’t come between true

mates but I swear if you hurt her, Caleb you’ll be sorry.” he sighs shaking his head.

“For the vampire, I don’t know what you are talking about. I didn’t see a vampire and I was

for sure as hell not with one.”

“Well Elizabeth must have seen or been near one, your room smells of my mate and a

fucking vampire, Ryan,” I growl out, pacing back and forth in front of my father and brother.

“What is going to happen now, Caleb? You’re supposed to mate Kelly in two weeks. Now

that you have found your true mate, your wolf would never let you take another. You need to talk to

Kelly before you even go to Elizabeth,” he mentions, I frown because I know this is going to hurt

  R a v i s h i n g E l i z a b e t h ‘ W h i t e T i m b e r P a c k ’

Kelly, she’s been so happy about the mating, all the planning, now all of that is down the drain. My father slaps my shoulder.

“I’ll call and invite Kelly and her parents over, so we can all sit down and talk about this.”

My father turns around, leaving us standing there. Ryan’s quiet for a few minutes.

“I’m happy you found your true mate, Caleb. I just want you to know, nothing happened

between us, besides some kissing.” I growl, he takes a step away from me, I shake my head. How can

I be upset about that, when I was with Kelly all afternoon, doing this same and almost more but her

parents called upon us to help with things for the mating ceremony? I close my eyes, taking a few

deep breaths before I respond to him.

“It’s in the past, don’t worry about it now but you better keep your hands to yourself from

now on, Ryan. Because as of right now, she’s my mate, and I don’t know if I’ll be able to stop my

wolf from tearing you apart.” With that being said, I turn around and head to my room.

The sooner I talk to Kelly and let her know what happened, the sooner I get to see my mate.

My wolf yips at the idea, at the supper the other night, I knew something was off; it was because she was there, and I didn’t even know it. I wonder what she looks like. I haven’t been able to meet the

  mysterious Elizabeth yet.

Kelly and her parents just showed up just a few moments ago. I still haven’t entered the

living room, where Kelly is waiting patiently for me. Our parents decided to go outside, I’m sure my father has mentioned by now that I’ve found my true mate. All my parents mentioned to them on

the phone, was that something has come up and we all need to talk about the mating ceremony.
